How this calculator works

We take your monthly amount and split it across every month from your start year through today, using approximate year-end bitcoin prices and interpolating between them for the months in between. Each month "buys" whatever fraction of a bitcoin that amount would have gotten at that interpolated price.
This is a simplified backtest, not a tick-by-tick historical model — bitcoin's actual monthly prices swung far more than a straight line between year-end points. Treat the output as directionally accurate, useful for understanding the shape of dollar-cost averaging, not as investment advice or a precise return projection.
